From 2014 to 2017, Techwatch organized the Bits&Chips Smart Systems exhibition and conference. Combining the one-day events Bits&Chips Embedded Systems (since 2002) and the Bits&Chips Hardware Conference (since 2008), it brought together technical management, engineers and researchers in electronics, software and system development. The focus was on networked technical information systems, from smart pills to square kilometer arrays, from smart lighting to advanced diagnostic machinery.
Bits&Chips Smart Systems connected professionals in connected devices to learn about the latest technology trends, meet new people and refresh old relationships. It hosted a trade fair, where companies from Brainport and beyond presented themselves and their solutions. Special technology tutorials introduced BSc and MSc students to their future employers, and vice versa. The independent conference programme offered high-quality, in-depth talks on high tech developments.
